Ombré Queen Anne’s Lace Tote Bag

A familiar vintage lace pattern gets the modern ombré treatment with this tote design. Made up of five strips of 28 Queen Anne’s Lace motifs, the yarn is worked double and the strips are joined. Pairing yarn together to create the ombré look is part of the fun!

Harmony Hairpin Lace Afghan

Inspired by colorful abstract paintings, this afghan is large enough to go over the top of a single bed, but it’s also the right size for a picnic on the beach. It is made with three sizes of strips using a hairpin loom (which have rows of sc between the side loops ), woven together. There is a right and a wrong side. Afghan is edged with a twisted fringe on the short edges, scs and hdcs along the long edges, using a neutral shade to imitate traditional woven blankets.

Retro Flower Cushion

Spice up that drab sofa in no time with the brightly-colored Retro Flower Cushion. It uses only two motifs, each made in two sizes. The main leaf motif uses the five basic crochet stitches, so it’s ideal for a group or teaching project or for a crochet novice.
