Hi, I love this design. What was the designer’s response regarding the end of round 4 that the other reader had a question about? It would be very helpful if you could share with everyone! Thank you!

I’m a pretty experienced crocheter, but even I’m having trouble deciphering some of these directions. Ideally, with a complicated pattern like this, there should be accompanying pictures, if not a video (I’d highly recommend that!) I had a couple of my crochet buddies look at this pattern and we’ve all tried it now and we’re all stumped on the end of the 4th round, and beginning of 5th. Is there no join? Are we supposed to guess how to join? It’s such a shame because this really is a beautiful doily, but I cannot see how to decipher the instructions unless given some input.

Not sure anyone will answer, but I have a question on the 4th round. It says to (dc, ch1) 7x, and then chain 3…which makes that last ch1 + ch3 = 4ch. Is that correct?
