Skinny Latte Scarf

The Skinny Latte Scarf is a lovely warm weather accessory. Worked up in a cool cotton blend yarn, it is perfect to add as an accessory scarf to a summery outfit. A beautiful trellis-like stitch is easy and quick to work up and is ideal as a portable project for summer travels too.

Skill Level: Easy

Size: Approximately 4” wide and 60” long.

Gauge: 16 sts and 7 rows = 4” [10 cm] in dc sts.

Materials

Yarn:

Light Weight Yarn Adriafil DUO Comfort (52% Merino Wool, 48% Egyptian Cotton; 131 yards [120 meters]/ 50 grams): #66 Fuchsia, 2 balls

Hook: US size G (4.0 mm)

Notions: Tapestry needle; scissors

dc: double crochet

ch: chain

Pattern Notes

Scarf is worked flat.

Pattern

Ch 17 (multiple of 4 + 1)

Row 1: In the 6th ch from the hook, work (dc, ch 2, dc), *skip 3 ch, in the next ch work (dc, ch 2, dc); repeat from * to last 3 ch, skip the next 2 ch, then work a dc in the last ch.

Row 2: Ch 3 and turn, *work 4 dc in the ch-2 space (from previous row); repeat to the end of the row, work a dc in the turning chain space.

Row 3: Ch 4 and turn (note this turning ch has one extra ch, because this forms part of the first “v” of the row), work a dc in the space between the first 2 dc, *skip 4 dc, work (dc, ch 2, dc) in the space before the next group of 4 dc; repeat from * across, work dc, ch 1, dc in the turning chain space.

Row 4: Ch 3 and turn, work 2 dc in the ch-1 space (from previous row), *skip 2 dc, the work 4 dc in the ch-2 space; repeat from * across, work 3 dc in the turning chain space.

Row 5: Ch 3 and turn, skip the first 3 dc from the previous row, *work (dc, ch 2, dc) in the space before the next group, skip 4 dc; repeat from * across, work dc in the turning ch space.

Repeat Rows 2-5 until scarf measures 60” or desired length.

Fasten off.

Finishing

Weave in any ends.  Block if desired.
