A Note from the Editor

A lot of people hate the cold, but the cold usually means the holiday season is fast approaching. And along with the holiday season comes a few of my favorite things: extra time with family, rich meals, freshly baked cookies and exchanging gifts with loved ones. While we can’t help you prepare the perfect cake for your next festive meal, we can help you get a head start on your gift list. This latest issue of I Like Crochet has everything you’ll need to prepare for the shift in seasons.

To bring winter inside your home in a subtle way, check out the adorable Snowplace Like Home Chevron Blanket and the Crochet Never Melts Pillow. Both feature a non-traditional holiday color palette that will bring much-needed warmth into your home. Plus, who doesn’t love an adorable snowman?

As for your wardrobe, prepare for the coldest of winter nights by wrapping up in one of the cozy projects featured in the warmth and Wonder section. From cowls and scarves to an adorable hat-and-cowl set, you’ll be ready for even the chilliest of winter evenings with these must-make projects. They also make great gifts!

And as a special bonus, the holidays are coming a little early this year — we’re hosting our first yarn giveaway! If you’d love a chance to win all the yarn needed to make the gorgeous Sugar Plum Hat + Cowl set, enter for your chance to win on the I Like Crochet Blog!

Happy holidays,
