I made this for my niece for Christmas. As soon as I saw the picture I thought of her. She says she has trouble finding hats that fit her head well, so I made the large adult size. I referenced the video that is mentioned in another comment ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FGAhOcPMiKY ) many times and found it helpful as I haven’t been crocheting for long, just over a year, and I haven’t really ventured beyond easy patterns. And since I didn’t pay attention to the skill level, I needed the help :). Once I got the hang of it, it went faster. My niece loved the hat and I was pleased that it turned out as well as it did. I did feel like it was a little taller than expected and than it appears in the picture, but that might just be the larger size. I would enjoy making another one.

Is there a video tutorial for this pattern. I’m stuck with a huge hole at the ends of the rows. Can’t get past row 3.
    Also I don’t have 72 sts. I have less.

  • How would you increase this hat to an adult large? I have a sister-in-law who loves this type of hat but the adult medium is too tight. I’ve tried adding two more rows with increases but it still doesn’t work out. Thanks
