It’s time to get started on the second stage of the November crochet along with Janaya Chouinard. Assemble your yarn and hooks: you’re going to get the main part of this pattern right now! This warm and cozy headwrap will keep your ears toasty while giving your winter wardrobe a great new look.

First, a few essentials:

• SC Gauge with 5 mm hook: 14 stitches and 16 rows = 4″ (10 cm). Be sure to check your gauge on this pattern.
• The beginning chain of each row does not count as a stitch.
• Each row is started in the same stitch as your beginning chain.
• Not all heads conform to sizing by age; please measure for a more accurate fit.

 Abbreviations: 

• ch = chain
• sl st = slip stitch
• sc = single crochet
• dc = double crochet

Sizing:

• Toddler and small child (2 to 5 years) = 18″ – 19″ head circumference
• Child (5 to 10 years) = 19″ – 20″ head circumference
• Teen/small adult = 21″ – 22″ head circumference
• Medium adult = 22″ – 23″ head circumference
• Large adult = 23″ – 24″ head circumference

Toddler & Small Child (2 to 5 Years) • Head Circumference = 18″ – 19″  •  Headband Length = 17″  •  Headband Width = 3.25″

Row 1 (Right Side): With Main Color – Ch 44, sc in 2^nd ch from hook and in each ch across, change to Accent Color for last yarn over in last stitch, turn (43)

To avoid having lots of ends to weave in, carry the non-working strand back across the row by crocheting over it.

Row 2: With Accent Color – Ch 1, sc in first stitch, *dc in next stitch, sc in next stitch* repeat from * to * across, change to Main Color for last yarn over in last stitch, turn (43)
