Zigzag Join Lay 2 squares next to each other with RS facing up. Continue in this matter across to corner of first square, ch 3, sl st in corner of second square. Fasten off.

Rnd 2: Sl st in next ch, ch 2, HDC Beg Cluster in same ch, ch 2, HDC Cluster in next ch-1 sp, ch 3, *tr in next dc, ch 3, (HDC Cluster in next ch-1 sp, ch 2) twice, HDC Cluster in next ch-1 sp, ch 3; rep from * twice more, tr in next dc, ch 3, HDC Cluster in next ch-1 sp, ch 2, sl st in top of beg ch-2.

Finishing

Block all motifs.

Assemble motifs, using photo as guide.

Join all Motif 1 into a strip using the zigzag join method.

Join all Motif 2 into a strip using the zigzag join method.

Join the strip of Motif 1 with Motif 2 using the zigzag method.

Seam short ends to close the cowl using the zigzag join method. Weave in all ends and block cowl.yarn ball
