Hi! The US hook sizes don’t have an exact equivalent. It’s somewhere between a K/10.5 hook and and L/11 hook. I would do a gauge swatch with either of these hooks and see if it works with your crochet style/with this pattern. Or, purchase a UK size 2 hook. Hope this helps.

  • Hi, in Row 6-7 total amount of stitches is 38 but I’ve pulled these rows apart several times as well as double checked everything but I only come up with 36 all up. Is total stitches 38 correct. Thank you

    • this might be your problem with the shawl.
row 1 the chain 2 counts as a DC, total =6 stitches
row 2 the chain 2 does not count as a DC then follow to = 12 stitches.
row 3 the chain 2 does not count as DC =18 stitches
row 4 chain 1 does not count as SC
      and so on.
this is the start if you don’t catch the row difference this could either leave you with 2 many or not enough. I guess you’re going to have to count your stitches for each row from the start. Not only on your own crocheting but in the pattern also to make sure there are no errors. the designer obviously forgot to mention to drop counting the chain 2 as a DC or the chain 1 as a SC this can throw off the pattern as well as missing a stitch that you need to DC or SC in. and will leave you short. ( you can thank Craftsy for this little tidbit of information) have a great day.

Hello, I have a question to Row 5, can anyone help.
*simultaneously working around the ch-2 sp from previous row, dc in next 9 sts, 2 dc in turning ch, turn. (26 sts)
Does this mean I only crochet in the chain space from the previous row ? or do I make all the DC stitches into the previous row? Like Front post DC.
I look at the pattern like I have it right now and the front post sc shows only up on the left side from the ch-2 space. What did I do wrong?
    Thank you!

      Hello
As I understand from the instructions, first you make 2dc..in the ch-1space of row 3,then dc in ch-2 so of row 4 and then dc’s in the 8sts of the row 4 totalling 9dcs.
      I hope this helps.
