Green Tea Poncho

Ponchos are back in style! This piece is a great opportunity to learn how to do crochet cables or a fun way to brush up on your skills.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Size: 20½” x 28”

Gauge: 14 sts and 16 rows = 4” [10 cm] in single crochet after wet blocking.

Medium Weight Yarn Universal Yarn Deluxe Worsted Superwash (100% Superwash Wool; 220 yards [200 meters]/100 grams): 711 Jadestone, 9 balls.

Hook: US size I/9 (5.5 mm)

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each sc across, turn.

Finishing

Block pieces to finished measurements. Sew the end of each rectangle to the side of the other rectangle, using diagram as a guide. Weave in ends.

Fringe

Cut 570 9” pieces of yarn. Holding 3 strands together as one, attach groups of fringe to every other stitch/row around entire outside edge of assembled poncho. Trim ends of fringe even. yarn ball
