Finishing

Beginning at the side edge, sew shoulder seams for only 3” [8 cm] or desired length for a boat neckline, making sure the center bobble on the Front piece is facing the RS.

Fold sleeve in half and match up edging, join yarn at one end and work in sc evenly along sleeve edge to seam sleeve. Repeat for second sleeve.

Sew the sleeves with the sc seam on the RS showing to the body matching center of sleeve to shoulder seam. Sew side seams.

Add fringe:

1. Cut the yarn into lengths twice as long as you want the finished fringe to be (3-6” [8-16 cm]). To speed up cutting the fringe, take one length and hold it together with the end of the yarn to the ball, run your fingers down the strands to the end of the cut piece, cut the new piece the same length, repeat. This is quicker than measuring each piece with the tape measure or ruler.
2. Take two pieces of fringe yarn and fold them in half.
3. Attach a fringe under each bobble: insert the crochet hook under each bobble (front to back to front), hook the folded yarn loops and pull up through fabric, then hook the ends and pull through the loop. Tighten the fringe.
