Yarn: Lion Brand Amazing (53% wool, 47% acrylic; 147 yards [135 meters], 50 grams): Constellation (15 balls)
Hook: US size I/9 (5.5 mm) hook
Notions: Tapestry needle

Special Stitches

Dc dec: double crochet 2 stitches together, worked as follows: Wrap yarn around hook 1 time, insert hook into first dc, yarn over, pull yarn through, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook, yarn over, insert hook into next dc, yarn over, pull yarn through, yarn over, pull yarn through 2 loops on hook, yarn over, pull yarn through all 3 loops on hook.
Group: 3 dc, made in same stitch or space.
V-st: (dc, ch 1, dc), all in same stitch.

Row 1: Dc in 4th ch from hook and in ea ch across.
Row 2: Ch 3 (counts as dc, now and throughout pattern), turn; sk first dc, * V-st in next dc, sk next 2 dc. Rep from * across until 2 dc remain, dc in last dc.
Row 3: Ch 4 (counts as dc, ch-1 sp, now and throughout pattern), turn; dc dec over first V-st, * ch 2, dc dec over next V-st. Rep from * across until 1 dc remains, ch 1, dc in last dc.
Row 4: Ch 3, turn; dc in first ch-1 sp, dc in first dc dec, * 2 dc in next ch-2 sp, dc in next dc dec. Rep from * across until 2 stitches remain, dc in last ch-1 sp, dc in last dc.
