October 2021: Table of Contents

It might still be sticky-hot weather here in the Midwest, but signs of fall are already here. Apples trees are sprouting new fruit, stores are decked out with fall-themed décor and coffee shops have released their own versions of pumpkin-spiced everything.
Despite the weather telling me otherwise, I couldn’t be more ready to welcome a shift in seasons and all the fun activities that come with it. Aside from visits to pumpkin patches, making homemade caramel apples and sipping hot apple cider while milling about corn mazes — fall is also the perfect time to start crocheting, crocheting, crocheting! Think new sweaters, new scarves, new cardigans — everything essential you need for fall can be handmade to create a unique piece that will be your favorite all autumn long.
This issue is packed full of ideas to inspire you. From cozy sweaters perfect for crisp fall air, to brand new cardigans crafted in rich hues inspired by nature. Plus, think ahead to wintertime and start making cute and cozy accessories your friends and family will love. Featuring toasty new hats, a gorgeous plaid wrap and flannel-inspired scarf, these projects also make excellent gifts for the holidays.
And don’t worry; we haven’t forgotten about the home. Add fresh bohemian-style accents to any room with the Wind River Rug and Dolly Diamond Weave Pillow. Imagine how proud you’ll feel when you tell your friends you made them yourself!

Happy crocheting,
Caitlin Eaton
