Celine Argyle Scarf

Using Foundation Single Crochet and Linked First Half Double Crochet stitches, the base of the argyle pattern takes shape in this dense and cozy scarf. Weave in yarn from edge to edge to create the final diamond shapes in this clever design.

Yarn: Red Heart Yarns Dreamy (100% Acrylic; 466 yards [426 meters]/250 grams): #E861_8311 Ivory (MC, 1 skein), #E861_8512 Aqua (CC1, 1 skein), #E861_8615 Celery (CC2, 1 skein)

Hook: Size J/10 (6.00 mm)

Special Stitches

Foundation single crochet (fsc)

Ch 2, insert hook in 2nd ch from hook, yo and draw up a loop, yo and draw through 1 loop (first chain made), yo and draw through 2 loops on hook (first Fsc made), *insert hook under 2 loops of the chain just made, yo and draw up a loop, yo and draw through 1 loop (chain made), yo and draw through 2 loops on hook (Fsc made); rep from * for indicated number of foundation stitches.

Linked first half double crochet (Linked first-hdc)

Pull lp on hook up to slightly taller than the normal lp, ch 1, insert hook into the bottom bump of the first ch from your hook, yo, draw up lp (2 lps on hook), insert hook into first st of the row, yo, draw up lp (3 lps on hook), yo, draw through all 3 lps.
