Pattern Notes

On the blue star ribbon strip the rows following the star rows are worked with the stitches crocheted around the stitches of the star row. To do this you will work in the same sts as the previous star row. These new stitches will somewhat cover up the ch-sps and sc stitches so that the stars (Front Post cluster stitches) are more prominent.

Place the short ends without sc edging of each strip together and sew ends together.

Weave in all remaining ends.

Form Bow

Keep the center seam in the middle.

With the Blue and White Stars Ribbon Strip on the left, fold strip to the back side forming a 3.5” long loop.

Fold the same strip again so the remaining tail shows the right (or front) side.

Now fold the Red and White Striped Ribbon Strip to the back to form a 3.5” long loop.

Fold the remaining strip again so the tail shows the right or front side.

Being careful not to lose the bows folds, cinch up the center of bow.

With a double strand of either color thread wind around the center of bow several times as tightly as possible, tie off in back of bow. Take the center strip and place the knot at the center front of bow, tie ends together at the back side of bow.

Weave in any remaining ends.

Sew the back of bow to the hair clip. Secure all ends.
