Cascade Yarns Cascade 220 (100% Wool; 220 yards [201 meters]/100 grams): 8010 Natural (CC, 1 ball)

Hook: US size H/8 (5.0 mm)

Pattern Notes

This pattern is worked flat from the bottom corner point up.

Work is not turned at the end of each row; right side is kept facing up throughout.

To begin each row, attach yarn to the first st at the right edge of the work with a sl st.

Pattern

With MC, ch 2.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Skipped ch does not count as a st. Fasten off. (1 sc at end of this row)

Row 2: With CC, ch 1 (does not count as a st), (sc, ch 1, sc) in first st. Fasten off. (3 sts)

Row 3: With MC, ch 1, sc in first st, ch 1, (sc, ch 1, sc) in ch-1 sp, ch 1, sc in last st. Fasten off.  (5 sts)

Row 4: With CC, ch 1, sc in first st, ch 1, (sc in ch-1 sp, ch 1) 3 times, sc in last st. Fasten off.  (9 sts)

Row 5: With MC, ch 1, sc in first st, ch 1, (sc in ch-1 sp, ch 1) across until 1 st rem, sc in last st.  Fasten off. (11 sts after Row 5)

Using MC for all odd rows and CC for all even rows, rep Row 5, 30 (44, 48) more times.

Finishing

Weave in all ends.

Block to dimensions.
