Beginner Paradise Shawls

These shawls are the same, but the results are different depending on where you start your yarn ball from the inside or the outside! Shown in an ombre coral and turquoise waters blue, we think beginners will be in paradise while crocheting these shawls.

Super fine weight yarnYarn: Scheepjes Whirl (60% Cotton, 40% Acrylic; 1094 yards [1000 meters]/215 grams): 757 Strawberries & Scream (1 ball), 559 Turquoise Turntable (1 ball)

Hook: US size E/4 (3.5 mm)

The shawl is worked bottom up.

Ch 3 at beginning of row counts as first dc.

Ch 5 at beginning of row counts as first tr.

Ch 7 at beginning of row counts as first tr and ch 2.

Row 1: Work 2 dc on 4th ch from the hook, turn.

Row 2: Ch 5, 2 dc in same st, 1 dc in next st, (2 dc, 1 tr) in next st, turn.

Row 3: Ch 7, 1 dc in same st, dc in next 5 st, (1 dc, ch 2, 1 tr) in next st, turn.

Row 4: Ch 5, 2 dc in same st, ch 2, sk next ch-2 sp, dc in next 7 sts, ch 2, sk next ch-2 sp, (2 dc, 1 tr) in next st, turn.

Row 5: Ch 5, 2 dc in same st, dc in next 2 sts, ch 2, sk next ch-2 sp, dc in next 7 sts, ch 2, sk next ch-2 sp, dc in next 2 sts, (2 dc, 1 tr) in next st, turn.
