Medium weight yarnYarn: Berroco Vintage, worsted weight, (52% Acrylic, 40% Wool, 8% Nylon, 218 yards [200 meters] / 100 grams): Snow Days 5100, 5 (5, 5, 6, 6, 7, 7) skeins (MC); Electric 51133, CC1; Citrus 51131, CC2; Shocking 51135, CC3, 1 skein each.

Hooks: US G (4.00 mm) hook, US H (5.00 mm) hook.

Notions: tapestry needle, tape measure, scissors.

Special Stitches

SPsc1 – Spike Single Crochet in 1st Rnd below: Insert hook into the st directly below next st. Pull the yarn through the st and up until it reaches the height of the sts currently being worked. Finish as regular sc.

SPsc2 – Spike Single Crochet in 2nd Rnd below: Insert hook into the st 2 rnds directly below next st. Pull the yarn through the st and up until it reaches the height of the sts currently being worked. Finish as regular sc.

SPsc3 – Spike Single Crochet in 3rd Rnd below: Insert hook into the st 3 rnds directly below next st. Pull the yarn through the st and up until it reaches the height of the sts currently being worked. Finish as regular sc.

SPsc4 – Spike Single Crochet in 4th Rnd below: Insert hook into the st 4 rnds directly below next st. Pull the yarn through the st and up until it reaches the height of the sts currently being worked. Finish as regular sc.

Pattern Notes

In order to maintain the balance of the stitch pattern, pullover is worked back and forth, turning after each round of work. This is continued throughout the body and sleeves. Ribbing is worked sideways.

Ch 2 does not count as a stitch at the beginning of the row.

Yoke

With larger size hook and MC, ch 78 (81, 81, 84, 84, 87, 87), place BOR marker, sl st to first ch, being careful not to twist.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in each ch around, sl st to top of first sc, turn. 78 (81, 81, 84, 84, 87, 87) sc.

Rnds 2-3: rep Rnd 1.

Rnd 4 (Inc Rnd): Ch 1, *sc in 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc; rep from* around, sl st to top of first sc, turn. (104 (108, 108, 112, 112, 116, 116) sts).

Rnd 5: rep Rnd 1.

Fasten off MC, and join CC1.

Ribbing

Row 1: Sk first sl st, sl st in back loop only in next 10 sts, ch 1, turn.

Row 2: Sk ch 1, sl st in back loop only in next 10 sts, sl st 1 along neck edge, turn.

Rep Rows 1 & 2 all around neck edge. Sl st to beginning of ribbing, fasten off.

Finishing

Weave in the ends.
