Finishing

Turtle Assembly

Fold neck in half and sew bottom edge to base of Row 6. Sew neck to Body. This gives the head some structure.

Attach one leg to Body on both sides of Head, approximately in final cluster of dc. Attach two rear legs to opposite end of Turtle Body, with one in each cluster of dc at rear.

Shirt Assembly

Line up Front and Back of Tank so that colors align and front side of tank that has a strap is on your right. Using the color of the section you’re joining, stitch sides together, switching colors to match sections.

Stitch strap that is on your right together and turn Tank inside out (so seams remain on the inside of the tank.)

Finish Tank at this stage using CC2 and single crochet spaced evenly around arm and neck openings.

Using CC3, attach hind legs to top of back strap.

Attach one front leg each to the peak of the last two waves at top of front.

Optional: If you made extra turtles, attach diagonally across front of tank, so that turtles are crawling towards the sea!
