Plumtacular Scarf

Indulge in lavish shades of plum with this plush and cozy scarf. Made of 100% pure wool, this simple project uses self-patterning yarn to achieve a multicolor effect.

Skill Level: Easy

Size: Approx 9” x 60” (23 x 152.5 cm)

Gauge: 7 sc and 8 rows = 4” (10 cm)

Materials

Yarn: Patons ColorWul (100% wool; 90 yards [81 meters]/85 grams): #90415 Bloom (4 balls)
Hook: US size N/15 (10.0 mm) hook or size needed to obtain gauge

Pattern

Ch 24.
Row 1 (RS): 4 dc in 4th ch from hook. Skip next 3 ch. 1 sc in next ch. *Ch 2. 4 dc in same ch as last sc. Skip next 3 ch. 1 sc in next ch. Rep from * to end of chain. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 5. 4 dc in 4th ch from hook. *Skip next 4 dc. (1 sc, ch 2, 4 dc) in next ch-2 sp. Rep from * to last 4 dc. Skip next 4 dc. 1 sc in top of ch 3. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 5. 4 dc in 4th ch from hook. *Skip next 4 dc. (1 sc, ch 2, 4 dc) in next ch-2 sp. Rep from * to last 4 dc. Skip next 4 dc. 1 sc in 3rd ch of ch 5. Turn.
Rep 3rd row for pat until work from beg measures 60” (152.5 cm). Fasten off.
