Button Tab Placement: Using the yarn tail, sew the button tab to the inside of the boot cuff. You can use the loops on the back of the hdc stitches as a guide. Fold the tab over the top of the cuff and secure in place by sewing the button through both layers of the tab and the boot cuff.

How are you starting your first Star Stich of a row? In the beginning chain stitches of a round row are you pulling two loops from the base of the chain two??

    • There is a great photo tutorial that shows exactly where to place the stitches. Check it out and reach out if you have additional questions.

  • I’m curious about your sizing instructions. I made the cuff 14″ long ( before folding to join) which is supposed to be a size medium, and my gauge is right on.It is too big for my leg and I’m not a small woman! I’m trying to make these as a gift. Is the length that you suggested a stretched out or not stretched measurement?

I love this pattern but for some reason when I do the first row of the star stitch I always end on a count of 17, not entirely sure where I am going wrong?
