Karen Whooley

Karen Whooley is a Washington State-based knitwear designer. Her work has been published in various print and online publications including Interweave CrochetCrochet Magazine and Inside Crochet.

She is the author of 18 Books in both knit and crochet, including her newest books Crochet Scarves and Cowls and Knit Scarves and Cowls (Leisure Arts 2014)

Karen teaches Knit and Crochet Classes worldwide with an emphasis on technique driven classes. She enjoys teaching at shops and guilds around the country and shows such as the Knit and Crochet Show (the official show of TKGA and CGOA), and Stitches events. And she is also a Craftsy Instructor!

In her spare time, Karen enjoys hanging out with her husband of 23 years, David and their teen-aged children. Karen loves NFL Football, rocking out to her favorite band, Bon Jovi, and enjoying the Pacific Northwest! She also is a new Spinner and is enjoying the process of making her own yarn.
