Kim Spewak

Kim Spewak is the owner of Crafter’s Corner NY (CCNY) and every item is handmade by her. She is a published designer and takes pride in her handcrafted items and pattern designs.

Her mission is to bring traditional crochet to life with a modern twist. She loves taking classic stitches and techniques and reimagining them into pieces that feel fresh and relevant today. For Kim, it’s about honoring the craft while creating and designing things people can use in their everyday lives.

Kim’s mom taught her how to sew and crochet when she was 10 years old, instilling a love of creating things with her hands and taking the time and perseverance required to produce fine quality products. In 2019, her daughter planted the seed that she should be selling her items and in March 2020, CCNY was launched! (Yes, one week before our world turned upside down. Who knew?)

Something Kim’s mom liked even more than working with textiles was to see the happiness her work brought to other people when they received one of her creations. Kim’s wish is to continue in her mom’s footsteps and bring happiness to others through the items she designs and creates.

Indigolite Diamonds Shawl

Bring traditional crochet to life with a modern twist in the Indigolite Diamonds Shawl. Classic granny-style stitches combine beautifully with open, diamond-shaped lace motifs to create a delicate, airy layering piece. Designed to be lightweight and versatile, this shawl can also be worn as a scarf. The yarn’s subtle ombre effect transitions from a light hue at the top to a deeper shade at the point, enhancing the elegant texture and flow of the design.
