Pink Sapphire Shawl

A big, comfy shawl is the perfect breezy summer accessory. Bright and airy enough to be summertime appropriate but thick enough to still be useful for a chilly summer night.

Skill Level: Intermediate

Size: 88” long & 14” wide/224 cm long & 35.5 cm wide after blocking

Gauge: 13 sts and 8 rows 3.75”/9.5 cm in width & 3.25”/8.5 cm in height after blocking

Materials

Yarn: Cascade Yarns Ultra Pima Fine (100% pima cotton; 136 yards [125 meters]/50 grams): #3702 Pink Sapphire (7 skeins)
Hook: US size G (4.0 mm) hook
Notions: Tapestry needle

Special Stitches

Shell (sh): [(Ch1, dc) 6 times, ch1] in st indicated.
V-Stitch (v-st): [Dc, ch 3, dc] in ch-sp indicated.

Pattern Notes

This wrap is worked from the center out. Once the first side is completed, the yarn is reattached and the second side is started from the original cast-on chain.

Finishing

Weave in ends and block to measurement.
