Shells and Lattice Shawl

Take some inspiration from the garden lattice with this lattice shawl. Enjoy a cup of tea, read a book and take in the summer breeze.

Skill Level: Easy

Size: Finished wingspan 70”

Gauge: 28 sts and 14 rows = 4” [10 cm] in dc (exact gauge is not essential).

Materials

Yarn:

Lace Weight Yarn Nazli Gelin Garden 10 (100% Egyptian Giza mercerized cotton; 306 yards [280 meters]/50 grams): 700-38 (3 balls)

Hook/Needles: US size C/2 (2.75mm)

The skipped ch-3 at the beginning of each row counts as a dc.

Row 1: Ch 4, 4 dc in 4th ch from hook (shell made). (5 dc (1 shell))

Row 2: Ch 4, turn, 4 dc in 4th ch from hook, sc in 3rd dc of next shell, 5 dc in ending dc. (10 dc (2 shells), 1 sc)

Block to desired shape and size.  Using yarn needle, weave in all ends.yarn ball
