Spring Lavender Headband

The puff stitch flowers of this headband remind us of all the best parts of spring: pastel colors, the airy feeling of warmer weather and buds slowly blooming into delicate petals. This is the ultimate accessory to liven up a casual blouse and jean ensemble.

Size: Adult Women 2¾” / [7 cm] width x 21½” / [55 cm] circumference

Gauge: 18 sts and 12 rows = 4” [10 cm] in Dc.

Yarn:

Fine weight yarn Debbie Bliss Eco Baby (100% Cotton; 137 yards [125 meters]/50 grams): 44 Lilac, 1 ball

Hook: US size E/4 (3.5mm)

Puff Stitch (ps)

YO, insert hook in next st, YO, pull through st (3 loops on hook), (YO, insert hook in same st, YO, pull through st) 3 times (9 loops on hook), YO, pull through all the loops on your hook, ch 1.

Puff Stitch 2 Together (ps2tog)

*YO, insert hook in next st, YO, pull through st (3 loops on hook), (YO, insert hook in same st, YO, pull through st) 3 times (9 loops on hook); rep from * once more (17 loops on hook), YO, pull through all loops on hook, ch 1.

Puff Stitch 3 Together (ps3tog)

Fasten off. Weave in loose ends.

Assembly

Sew the ends of the headband together to form a circle.

Border

Attach yarn where the seam is in the centre of the bottom of the headband.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, sc in same st, work 101 sc around the edge of the headband – 102 sts.

Fasten off. Weave in loose ends.

Finishing

Block scarf to dimension. Weave in all ends.
