Holder Pattern

(make 3)

Back

With larger hook and C1, ch 18.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, (ch 1, sk next ch, sc in next ch) across, ch 1, sc in last ch.  Turn. (9 sc, 8 ch-1 sps)
Row 2: Ch 1, (sc in ch-1 sp, ch 1) across, ending with sc on top of turning ch. Turn.

Rows 3-34: Rep Row 2. Fasten off at end of Row 34.

Front (make one of each in C5, C2, and C7)

Row 1: Rep Row 1 of Back.

Row 2: Rep Row 2 of Back.

Rows 3-17: Rep Row 3 of Back. At end of row 17, do not fasten off.

Border

Place WS to RS of Back. Working in left corner and through both thicknesses, sl st in first st, ch 1, sc in same st. Working in ends of rows, sc in each st with 2 sc in each corner. Sc in each ch of beg ch, work 2 sc in corner ch. Working again in ends of rows, sc in each st with 2 sc in top of Row 34. Sc in each sc across with 2 sc in end st, sc in ends of rows, joining in first sc.

Fasten off.

Repeat for each color.

Orange You Glad Coaster

With smaller hook and C5, make a Magic Chain. Mark first st of each rnd.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, work 6 sc in ch.

Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each st around. (12 sc)

Rnd 3: Work (2 sc in first st, sc in next st) around. (18 sc)

Rnd 4: Work (2 sc in first st, sc in next 2 st) around. (24 sc)

Rnd 5: Work (2 sc in first st, sc in next 3 st) around. (30 sc)

Rnd 6: Sc in next 12 st, sl st in next 4, sc in next 14 sc, join in first sc. Fasten off.

Leaves for Orange (make 2)

With smaller hook and C6, join with sl st in last sc of Rnd 6.

Ch 6, sl st in 2nd ch, sc in next 3 ch, 2 sc in last ch.

Working on opposite side, sc in next 4 ch, sl st in last ch, ch 1. Fasten off

Working in next sc, repeat as for first Leaf.

Pearfection Coaster

With smaller hook and C2, make a Magic Chain. Mark first st of each rnd.

Rnds 1-5: Rep Rnds 1-5 of Orange.

Row 6: Ch 1, sc in next 4 sc, turn.

Row 7: Ch 1, sc in next 4 sc, turn.

Row 8: Ch 1, sc2tog twice. Do not turn.

Rnd 9: Ch 1, sc in same st, sc in next 13 sts, 3 sc in next st, sc in next st, sl st in next st, sc in next st, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 13 sts, sc in next st, sc in corner st, sc in next sc, join in first sc. Fasten off.

Stem

With C3, join with sl st on top of last sc on Rnd 9. Ch 4, sl st in next 3 ch, sl st in same sp as joining. Fasten off.

You’re So Grape Coaster

Grapes  (make 6)

Mark first st of each rnd.

With smaller hook and C7, make Magic Circle.

Rnd 1: Ch 1, work 6 sc in ring.

Rnd 2: Work 2 sc in each sc around. (12 sc)

Fasten off.

Sew first 3 Grapes together at sides. Sew 2nd row of Grapes side by side and attach to upper row. Sew last Grape to center row of 2 Grapes.

Stem

With smaller hook and C4, working from right to left, join with sl st in top of sc on first Grape, ch 1, sc in same place, ch 4, join with sc in middle top of 2nd Grape, ch 3, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next ch, sl st in beg sc, ch 4, sc in middle st of 3rd Grape.

Fasten off.

Leaves (make2)

Row 1: Ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in next 2 chs, 3 sc in last ch. Working on opposite of ch, sc in next 2 sc, ch 2, turn, sc in next 6 sc. Ch 2, turn, sc in next 3 sc. Sl st in next sc.

Fasten off.

Sew Leaves to each end of Stem.

Finishing

Weave in all ends.
