Super fine weight yarn

Kraemer Fountain Hill (80% Acrylic, 20% Mohair; 560 yards [512 meters]/100 grams): 4011 Sparkle Lights (CC, 2 balls)

Hook: US size G/6 (4.0 mm)

Notions: Tapestry needle

Special Stitches

Foundation Double Crochet (fdc): Ch 3, yo, insert hook in 3rd ch from hook, yo, pull through ch (3 lps on hook), yo, pull through 1 lp (1 ch made), yo, pull through 2 lps (2 lps left on hook) yo, pull through both lps on hook (first fdc made), *yo, insert hook in both lps of ch made in last st, pull through ch (3 lps on hook), yo, pull through 1 lp (1 ch made), yo, pull through 2 lps (2 lps left on hook), yo, pull through both lps on hook; rep from * to desired length.
V-Stitch (vst): (dc, ch 1, dc) all in same st.

Pattern Notes

This pattern is worked in rows from the center to one side, then from the center again to the other side. This means Row 1 is actually the center of the garment.

First Side

Row 1: Fdc 254 with MC.
Rows 2-3: Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), turn, dc in each st across.
Fasten off MC.
Row 4: With CC, ch 3, turn, sk 1, vst in next st, (sk 2, vst in next st) across until 2 sts rem, sk 1, dc in last st. (84 vst)
Rows 5-10: Ch 3, turn, vst in ch-1 sp of each vst across, dc in last dc.
Fasten off CC.
Row 11: With MC, ch 3, turn, dc in next dc, (dc in ch-1 sp, dc in each of next 2 dc) across. (254 dc)
Rows 12-13: Ch 3, turn, dc in each st across.
Fasten off MC.
Rep Rows 4-13, 3 more times.

Fasten off.

Second Side

Row 1: Attach MC to bottom of first fdc made in Row 1 of First Side, ch 3, dc in bottom of each of next 119 sts, ch 136. (120 dc, 136 ch)
Row 2: Turn, dc in 4th ch from hook and in each of next 132 chs, dc in each dc across. (254 dc)
Rows 3-4: Ch 3 (counts as first dc here and throughout), turn, dc in each st across.
Fasten off MC.
Row 5: With CC, ch 3, turn, sk 1, vst in next st, (sk 2, vst in next st) across until 2 sts rem, sk 1, dc in last st. (84 vst)
Rows 6-11: Ch 3, turn, vst in ch-1 sp of each vst across, dc in last dc.
Fasten off CC.
Row 12: With MC, ch 3, turn, dc in next dc, (dc in ch-1 sp, dc in each of next 2 dc) across. (254 dc)
Rows 13-14: Ch 3, turn, dc in each st across.
Fasten off MC.
Rep Rows 5-14, 3 more times.
Fasten off. Weave in all ends.

Border

Holding both MC and CC together and using them as one yarn, join to corner A, ch 1, 2 sc in edge of each st to corner B, sc in corner B, sc in each st to corner C, sc in edge of st at corner C, sc in each st to corner D, sc in corner D, 2 sc in edge of each st to corner E, sc in corner E, sc in each st to corner F, sc in corner F, 2 sc in edge of each st to corner G, sc in corner G, sc in each st to corner A, sc in corner A, sl st to top of first sc to join.

Fasten off MC and CC.

Finishing

Weave in all ends.
