Stripe Hype Cardigan

This cardigan will get you hyped for colorful spring hues! Soft sections of stripes are blocked up by a light cream while mohair is held throughout to make a fluffy and oh-so-cozy comfort cardi. Simple drop shoulder construction and minimal shaping make this project perfect for mindless making in front of the tv or listening to your favorite podcast!

hdc blo – half double crochet in back loop only

hdc2tog – half double crochet 2 together

Pattern Notes

This pattern is worked in sections then seamed together in a drop shoulder construction.

Body panels are worked bottom-up, whereas sleeves are worked top-down.

The pattern is worked with worsted weight yarn held together with mohair yarn throughout, no matter the worsted weight yarn color.

Seam shoulders using locking mattress stitch. Seam cuff bands to sleeves. Fold sleeves in half lengthwise. Matching folds to shoulder seams, sew sleeves to body using locking mattress stitch, then sew sleeve and side body seams. Seam button band to cardigan, then sew buttons onto button band opposite button holes. Weave in all ends, block to finished measurements.
