“Something Blue” Wrap

Bring a little of the traditional blue to your bridal ensemble with delicate floral buds set against a pristine white background. But you don’t have to be walking down the aisle to flaunt this stunning wrap, as it would make a beautiful addition to any wardrobe.

Gauge: 16 sts and 16 rows = 4” [10 cm] in Sc.



Light weight yarn Cascade Yarns Ultra Pima (100% Cotton; 218 yards [200 meters]/100 grams): 3718 Natural (A), 2 (2, 3) balls

Fine weight yarn Cascade Yarns Ultra Pima Fine (100% Cotton; 137 yards [125 meters]/50 grams): 3731 Alaska Sky (B), 1 ball; 3772 Cornflower (C), 1 ball; 3727 Sky Blue (D), 1 ball

Hook: US size K/10½ (6.5 mm); US size E/4 (3.5 mm)

Pattern Notes

This wrap is worked flat and in rows from side to side. The flowers are worked in the round and sewn to the finished wrap.



With larger hook and A, ch 32 (36, 42).

Row 1: (Sc, dc) in 2nd ch from hook, sk next ch, *(sc, dc) in next ch, sk next ch; rep from * 13 (15, 18) more times, sc in last ch, turn – 31 (35, 41) sts.

Row 2: Ch 1, (sc, dc) in same st, sk next st, *(sc, dc) in next st, sk next st; rep from * 13 (15, 18) more times, sc in last st, turn – 31 (35, 41) sts.

Rows 3-98 (102, 110): Rep Row 2.

Fasten off. Weave in loose ends.

Lay the wrap flat, then using the Whip Stitch method, seam along the ends of either side of the Wrap (along Row 1 and Row 98 [102, 110]), working from the bottom to top.


With smaller hook, create a magic ring.

Rnd 1: *Ch 3, sl st in center of ring; rep from * 4 more times – 5 petals.

Fasten off. Weave in loose ends.

Flower 1 (make 13 [17, 21])

Rnd 1: Work in C.

Flower 2 (make 14 [18, 22])

Rnd 1: Work in D.

Flower 3 (make 8 [8, 8])

Rnd 1: Work in B.


Arrange the Flowers evenly spaced on the front of the Wrap in an ombre pattern, starting with Flower 1 in the center, then Flower 2, and then lastly, Flower 3. Sew all the Flowers in place.

Wet block Wrap to size and shape. Weave in all ends.
