Size: Finished Cuff Size 9.5 (11, 12, 14, 16)” to fit calf 11.5 (13, 14, 16, 18)”. Length is approximately 14”. 2” negative ease recommended. Shown in size 1.

Gauge: 23 sts and 30 rows = 4” [10 cm] in pattern after wet blocking.

Materials

Fine weight yarnYarn: Drops Alpaca (100% alpaca; 183 yards [167 meters]/50 grams): 3112 Dusty Pink 3 (3, 3, 4, 4) balls.

Hook: US size G/6 (4.0 mm)

Notions: 1 stitch marker (optional), tapestry needle.

bb: back bumps (of the initial chain)

Pattern Notes

This pattern is worked lengthwise, in one piece and then sewn together. You may use a stitch marker to indicate the first stitch of the ribbing, at the bottom of the boot cuff, if you wish. Keep your slip stitches loose.

Pattern

Row 1: Ch 81, hdc in bb in the next 70 sts, sl st in bb in last 10 sts, ch 1, turn. (80)

Rows 2-4: Sl st in BL in each st across, ch 1, turn.

Row 5: Hdc in BL in next 70 sts, sl st in BL in last 10 sts, ch 1, turn.

Rows 6-8: Sl st in BL in each st across, ch 1, turn.

Rows 9-72 (84, 92, 108, 124): Repeat Rows 5-8 another 16 (19, 21, 25, 29) times. Fasten off and leave a long tail for sewing.

Finishing

Block your boot cuffs to measurements and sew the side seam. Fold your boot cuff in half with right side facing each other. Sew the first and last row together with your preferred method. To make it as invisible as you can, grab the back loop of the first row and the front loop of the last row.

Leave the boot cuff in the wrong side and fold the top part about 2.5” (6 cm). Sew around with your preferred method. Turn your piece inside out and you are done! Enjoy!
