Gauge: 20 sts and 12 rows = 4” [10 cm] after light wet blocking

Materials

Medium weight yarnYarn: Plymouth Yarn (75% acrylic, 25% wool; 200 yards [182 meters]/100 grams): Blue Haze, 154, dye lot 640542 (1) ball

Hook/Needles: US size I (5.5mm)

Notions: tapestry needle

Abbreviations

Isc – Inverse single crochet

Yfsc – yarn front single crochet

Special Stitches

Isc (inverse single crochet): With hook pointing toward your body, insert hook in designated stitch and work a regular sc stitch.

Yfsc (yarn front single crochet): Place yarn in front of your hook, (directing the yarn toward your body) insert hook in designated stitch and continue to work a regular sc stitch.

Pattern Notes

Pattern is worked in rows.

Pattern

Ch 103.
Row 1: (Right side) Working in back bump of ch, sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc across. (102 sts at end of this row)

Row 2: Ch 1, turn, in first st working in bl yfsc, working in fl isc in next st, * working in bl yfsc in next st, working in fl isc in next st; rep from * across.  (102 sts at end of this row)

Rows 3-12: Rep row 2.

Row 13: Ch 1, turn, in first st sc, continue to sc across, do not cut yarn at end of row

Finishing

Fold ear warmer with right sides touching. Fold each end of ear warmer (ends of rows) in half. Tuck in folded ends so they overlap, sl st evenly across all 4 ends, cut yarn, turn right side out. Weave in all loose ends. Block gently.  Notes: You will have 4 folded ends to sl st across. Stitch count does not matter, just be sure to stitch through evenly across all 4 ends.
