First Half
Set-Up: Ch 3, (dc, ch 3, 2 dc) in 4th ch from hook. Ch 5, turn.
Row 1: Sk first dc, 2 dc in next dc, ch 2, (dc in ch-3 sp, (ch 1, dc in same ch-3 sp) 4 times], ch 2, 2 dc in next dc, leave remaining dc unworked at the end of this and all Rows 1-6. Ch 5, turn.
Row 2: Sk first dc, 2 dc in next dc, (ch 3, sk 1 dc, sc in next ch-1 sp) 4 times, ch 3, sk ch-2 sp, 2 dc in next dc. Ch 5, turn.
