Pattern Notes

All stitches worked together, whether dc5tog, dc7tog, dc9tog or tr9tog, are worked over half the stitches on one shell, the sc between shells, and half the stitches on the next shell. If they occur over rows of hdc, work over the next available stitches. There are 2 exceptions to this: 1) the hdc2tog are worked over the next dc, skip the next sc, finish in the next dc. 2) The tr7tog in Rnd 1 of sleeves are worked over the next 7 sts in the rnd.
When working final dc4tog on sleeves, which are worked in the round, before drawing all 4 sts together, and with 5 loops on hook, insert hook in first dc4tog, yo, draw through all loops on hook.
To change color without cutting yarn A, always place working loop before color change on safety pin, work designated row in color B, fasten off B, then draw A through last loop of last stitch of row worked in B, continue with A for next row and cut B.
