dc2tog = double crochet two sts together 

Pattern Notes

All ch(s) are counted in this pattern.

Ch 3 at the start of a row counts as dc.

The pattern design follows a 9-row repeat of decreasing solid stripes.

When starting a row with dc2tog, ch 2 then work 1 dc in next st, this counts as dc2tog.

You may find it helpful to add a stitch marker to the top of each beginning ch-3 of each row.
