On the Fringe Tank

A simple tank is made complete with a flirty yarn loop fringe. Crocheted in a neutral yarn, this tank can be paired with pretty much anything in your wardrobe to create a flawless outfit.  It’s the perfect versatile piece to add to your closest this season.

Pattern Notes

This pattern is worked flat in pieces from the bottom up. The loop fringes are added to the front after the tank is blocked and seamed.

Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn. (66 (74, 82, 90, 98, 106, 114) sts)

Row 2: Ch 1, sc in each st across, turn.

Rep Row 2 until piece meas 15″ from foundation ch.

Shape Armhole

Row 1: Ch 1, sc in next 57 (64, 72, 78, 85, 91, 97) sts, turn, leaving last 9 (10, 10, 12, 13, 15, 17) sts unworked.

Seam shoulders. Seam sides.

Weave in all ends.

Loops

Notes: The Loops are worked into the ch-1 spaces of the Eyelet Rows on the Front of the Tank.

With Tank held bottom up, working in the ch-1 sp of the Eyelet Rows starting with the row closest to the hem, join yarn to first ch-1 sp with sl st, leaving a 6” tail, *insert hook in next st, yo, pull up a lp (2 lps on hook), wrap yarn from front to back over index finger of yarn hand, grab the strand of yarn from behind your index finger, draw the yarn through both lps on hook (the yarn on your finger becomes the loop, pull up lp to about a height of 3”), holding finger in loop to keep yarn taut; rep from * across Eyelet Row making sure loops are even.

Fasten off. Break yarn leaving a 6” tail.

Work same for next 2 Eyelet Rows. Trim beg and end tails to same length as Loops.
