Medium Weight Yarn Red Heart Super Saver (100% Acrylic; 364 yards [333 meters]/198 grams): 319 Cherry Red, 1 skein; 389 Hunter Green, 1 skein; 311 White, 1 skein Or Red Heart Crème de la Crème (100% Cotton; 125 yards [114 meters]/70 grams): 905 Rally Red, 1 skein; 649 Forest, 1 skein; 0001 White, 1 skein.

Hook: US size H/8 (5.0 mm)

Notions: Removable markers; tapestry needle; buttons (optional)

Pattern Notes

The beginning chain of each row does not count as a stitch.

Begin each row in the first stitch of the row.

I recommend marking the first stitch for the rows that begin with a slip stitch, as it’s easy to miss on the return row.

Pattern

Ch 16.

Row 1 (RS): Sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next 2 chs, *hdc in next 3 chs, sl st in next 3 chs; rep from * to end, turn – 15 sts.

Work in back loops only for the remainder of the pattern.
