This project is destined to be the most used sweater in everyone’s handmade wardrobe this season! Utilizing a textured or boucle yarn, a sherpa-like fabric is created. In tandem with clever construction techniques, the finished project will look just like your favorite on-trend fleeces. Crocheted top down with a raglan style construction, the zipper is sewn on afterward and the optional furry texture is created after finishing by brushing the fabric with a fiber brush.

The Leighton Patchwork Scarf is the Tunisian crochet sampler scarf of your dreams. Inspired by the shift in seasons, this pattern is written in self-contained sections that can be rearranged to suit your preference. The customizable pattern combines a balance of textures and colorwork to create a bold and romantic statement scarf. The name “Leighton” means “meadow town” and we can’t help but think that this scarf resembles an aerial view of meadows and fields in the countryside.

It includes a small detachable pocket to easily access your essentials, and a couple of decorative pom-poms made with left-over yarn. The size allows one to carry a 13” computer, without being too big to look like a shopping bag.

This coat is designed to be classic and simple in style, with just enough decorative detail in the form of faux piping. Large size buttons and oversized patch pockets also make a fashion statement, as well as being functional. The Aereo yarn used in the pattern is very light and airy, making this garment warm but not heavy. Using a solid neutral color will make this coat a timeless piece you will enjoy wearing for many seasons.
