Dishcloth Stackers

A simple group of stitches create the easy-to-make clusters in this dishcloth. This dishcloth set is perfect for giving as a hostess gift or for accenting your kitchen.

Skill Level: Easy

Size: Approx 8” (20.5 cm) square 

Gauge: 13 sc and 14 rows = 4” (10 cm) 

Materials

Yarn: Lily Sugar’n Cream (100% cotton; 120 yards [109 meters]/70.9 grams): #00082 Jute or #00042 Tea Rose or #01530 Country Red or #01222 Country Green or #01530 Stonewash (1 ball)
Hook: US size H/8 (5.0 mm) hook

Abbreviations

Cluster St: [(1 dc, ch 1) twice, 1 dc] all in indicated st. 

Pattern

Ch 32.
Row 1 (RS): 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook, *skip next 2 ch, cluster st in next ch, skip next 2 ch, 1 sc in next ch, rep from * to end of chain; turn.
Row 2: Ch 4 (counts as 1 dc, ch 1), 1 dc in first sc, 1 sc in center dc of next cluster, *cluster st in next sc, 1 sc in center dc of next cluster, rep from * until last sc, (1 dc, ch 1, 1 dc) in last sc; turn.
Row 3: Ch 1; 1 sc in first dc, cluster st in next sc, *1 sc in center dc of next cluster, cluster st in next sc, rep from * until beg ch 4, 1 sc in 3rd ch of beg ch 4.
Rep rows 2 and 3 until work is square; do not fasten off.

Edging

Rnd 1: With RS facing, work 22 sc evenly along each edge, working 3 sc in each corner, join with sl st to first sc, fasten off.
