Finishing

Block grannies.

With RS facing, arrange all motifs as indicated in schematic. Please note that there are 6 squares that are folded in half (half of the square goes to the front and half to the back).

With wrong sides facing and working through inner loops only, join the squares with a sl st

Cut yarn and weave in all ends.

Tassels (make 2)

Wrap the yarn around a piece of cardboard that is double the length of the desired tassel. Continue wrapping until reaching the preferred thickness.

Carefully slide the wrapped yarn off the cardboard and place it centered on an 8-inch piece of yarn positioned horizontally. Tie this yarn firmly around the middle of the bundle.

Cut through the looped ends of the yarn bundle.

Pull the ends of the yarn bundle downward while pulling the 8-inch yarn upward.

Take a 12-inch piece of yarn and wrap it tightly around the top of the tassel, ensuring even distribution.

Pass the end of this yarn through the loop, then gently close the loop, tucking the ends into the head of the tassel.

Trim the ends of the tassel to achieve uniform length. Use the tie-off yarns at the top to attach the tassel to the chain spaces at the tips of the shawls.
