These small bowls are perfect for trinkets and jewelry. There are two deep bowls, and a third shallow bowl that can be a lid for the single crochet bowl. This great stashbuster is also useful for giftboxes and can be made larger to store even bigger items.

Gauge: 20 dc and 24 rows measure 4″ x 4″; gauge not critical

Light weight yarn Rico Essentials Cotton DK (100% cotton; 142 yards [130 meters]/50 grams): #13 Magenta (1 ball), #25 Gray (1 ball)

Hook: US size E/4 (3.5 mm) hook
Notions: Tapestry needle

Rnd 1: Beginning with a magic loop, work 6 sc in the loop. Join with a sl st to first sc, turn. Pull the magic loop tight to close the hole. (6 sc)
Rnd 2: 2 sc in same place as sl st, 2 sc in next 5 sc, join with a sl st to first sc, turn. (12 sc)
Rnd 3: Sc in same place as sl st, 2 sc in next sc, [sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc] 5 times, join with a sl st to first sc, turn. (18 sc)
Rnd 4: Sc in same place as sl st, sc in next sc, 2 sc in next sc, [sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc], 5 times, join with a sl st to first sc, turn. (24 sc)
Rnd 5: Sc in same place as sl st, 1 sc in next 2 sc, 2 sc in next sc, [sc in next 3 sc, 2 sc in next sc] 5 times, join with a sl st to first sc, turn. (30 sc)

Continue to work without increasing for a further 18 rounds.
Fasten off.

Shallow Bowl/Lid

Work base for 13 rounds. (78 sc)
Rnd 14: Sc in same place as sl st, sk 2 sc, shell in next sc, sk 2 sc, [sc in next sc, sk 2 sc, shell in next sc, sk 2 sc] across, sl st to 1st sc, turn. (13 shells)
Rnd 15: Ch 2, 2 dc in same place as sl st, sc in center dc of next shell, [shell in next sc, sc in center dc of next shell] across, 2 dc in sl st at beginning of round, sl st to 2nd ch, turn.
